New remote key repair and reprogramming evening workshops offered
Auckland-based 2YS Trading has announced a series of evening training workshops for the trade, designed to educate on remote key fob repair and reprogramming techniques.
The 2YS-hosted training sessions will be run across weekday evenings and will take between one and two hours.
Today, most vehicles come standard with remote keys.
However, there may come a time when the remote key must be reprogrammed, or a newly purchased car remote key will need to be programmed in order to sync with the vehicle's door locks properly.
Remote keys work by communicating with the locks in the specific car by using unique radio signals. In order to communicate with these locks, the remote key must be programmed and synced with the locks in the car.
That because the key fobs themselves have memory chips built into them that allow the key to work, specialised programming needs to be undertaken so that the locking mechanism recognizes the code being sent to it by the remote key.
Whether repairing or reprogramming, the task needs to be completed properly to ensure the system works. 2YS Trading workshops are designed to decipher the process for trade professionals, offering them another key attribute to the services they’re able to offer customers.
