JMJ construction limited is specializing in residential civil work for 2.5 years, we constantly have ongoing construction projects in Auckland area and need a capable Excavation Project Coordinator and Operator based in Auckland to join our team, operating the excavator and supervising the daily operation work.

Title: Excavation Project Coordinator and Operator
Remuneration: 38.25 hourly rate
Hours of work: average 30 hours a week

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Plan and arrange the company excavation projects, to ensure the company excavation projects are completed as scheduled
• Cooperate with site manager and third parties, allocate the works to fellow excavator operator
• Drive and control the excavator, to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials
• Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work
• Monitor operation of excavator and adjust controls to regulate the operation, ensure safety of other workers
• Operate the equipment manually, as well as through the use of electronic or other technical methods
• Maintain and clean equipment, perform minor adjustment and repairs
• To ensure the workplace safety for all excavation projects , ensure in compliance with safety rules at all time
The ideal candidate will have
• At least 3 years of relevant working experience and a solid work history.
• Extensive experience operation a variety of machinery in the civil field (up to 15 ton)
• A valid class 1 full driver's licence (WTR endorsement desirable)
• Be physically fit and able to do some heavy lifting
• Able to follow instructions
• Have a SiteSafe Passport ( preferable as we can arrange)
• Safety and quality focused,
• Able to work Monday to Friday, and flexible half day Saturday may.
• Able to working in all weather conditions
