Role Summary

- Manages FOH activities and dining room set up.
- Facilitates and promotes a passionate wine culture within the FOH.
- In charge of the FOH and oversees the kitchen.
- Working closely with the Head Chef.
- Running shifts and coordinating the FOH staff.
- Assisting the Wedding/Function manager with the planning and execution of - - Weddings and Events.
- Business development and analysis of FOH performance.
- Training & managing FOH staff and developing the service standards of Black Barn Bistro.
- Constantly improving and developing the Service and Guest experience.

We are one of New Zealand's top winery restaurants situated in the historic Havelock Hills Wine Appellation in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. During the winter we are a warm cozy restaurant with an open fire, lounge area and bar. During the summer we open up a beautiful outdoor courtyard under a massive pergola of grapevines, in the heart of the Winery. We have a very passionate, progressive Kitchen team that consistently delivers an exemplary level of cuisine. We have an equally passionate FOH team, who are constantly striving to provide an unforgettable guest experience. Our service style is professional but definitely not stuffy. We encourage our FOH to have fun with our guests but always keeping a high level of professionalism, backed up with a thorough knowledge of our Wine and Cuisine. Good Vibes only.

We are also a busy Wedding and Function venue with 16 weddings booked for this summer. We were recently listed in the top ten wedding venues in New Zealand via the Urban list.
