North Canterbury Vets is a 4 clinic veterinary business located north of Christchurch. We are looking for an Accountant to join our Finance Team, based at our Head Office in Amberley.
The primary purpose of this newly created role is to work as part of the Finance Team to provide high-quality accounting services to support our Finance and Business Managers/Directors.
You will be responsible for the running of the accounting and financial activities of the business.
This is a permanent full time position working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.

About the position:
Analyse the economic stability of the business & provide financial information to both staff & to the Leadership Team
Prepare reports on costs, productivity, margins & company expenditure to all stakeholders
Maintain Business fixed asset register & depreciation schedule
Assist with preparing of budgets
Drive regular fee reviews
Oversee both Debtor and Inventory KPI reporting to all appropriate stakeholders
Maintain the Business cash flow, including both forecasting and expenditure
Responding to financial enquiries by gathering and interpreting data
Any ad hoc projects and tasks as required

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following:
Tertiary qualified with at least 2 years’ experience
In-depth knowledge of Ms suite of products & proficient with IT skills
Excellent communication skills
