I run a small sole practitioner Chartered Accountancy practice operating in the Wairarapa providing accounting, tax and advisory services to business and farming clients.
I have a vacancy for an Accounting Assistant to undertake a variety of accounting, tax & administrative duties. I am looking for someone with a good understanding of bookkeeping procedures and existing work experience (preferably in a chartered accountancy firm).
Key Responsibilities Include:
Completing financial statements
Preparing Tax Returns
Completing GST returns
Assisting with payroll & PAYE
Office Administration duties
Ideally, you will:
Have an existing knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, and Xero accounting software
Have a high level of accuracy in dealing with figures
Have good written and verbal communication skills
Will be willing to learn new skills and undertake a wide range of tasks
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency.
