The team at AC Lighting are looking to expand their casual crew list for what is looking like a busy upcoming summer. We are looking for expressions of interest from people who have experience (preferred) or are keen to work in the events industry. We have multiple positions available so please apply if interested

About the role;
Working as a casual for AC Lighting, you’ll find yourself undertaking a variety of tasks, from building stages, rigging lights, loading and unloading trucks, setting up crowd barrier, power distribution and all other aspects of the event production process.

This is an on call casual position, with work offered normally with a week or mores notice. There is no fixed hours on offer with this role and can fluctuate from 0 hours a week to 50 or more dependent on how busy we are. A lot of our work takes place outside standard business hours, so this is a great option for those looking for some extra income or for students.

What we offer;

Three hour minimum calls (e.g. if called and you only do 45 -minutes work, you’ll still be paid for three hours).

Show calls (for the right candidates) doing backline or follow-spot etc.

What we’re looking for;

A must is having transport to get to the job required as some jobs are on location (HT, forklift and EWP licenses are also an advantage for certain candidates).
A phone that is contactable, to receive location, start times and to confirm ability to take crew calls.
Experience is preferred but we are willing to teach those that are committed to learn.
Punctual and Reliable, someone who will turn up when they have committed to a job and is on time.
Physically capable and fit as some of our jobs are physically demanding.
Able to listen to and follow instructions, from full time staff.
Be able to work as part of a team.
Operate in a safe manner at all times.
Provide your own steel toed footwear; we will supply Hi Vis vests and hard hats as necessary.
To maintain a certain level of confidentiality and professionalism when backstage (asking for signatures from artists/performers is definitely not appropriate).
