tlc4u2 provides homecare services to clients throughout Northland, Auckland and Tauranga. Identifying appropriate levels of care, offering realistic choices, maintaining or enhancing lifestyles and promoting independence are some of our prime objectives.
We are looking for permanent and casual Support Workers for the West Auckland area. You must be energetic, willing to learn, and have a caring, fun and compassionate nature. This is more than just a job - you will be providing invaluable support to our client.
Hours include daytime, evening and weekend shifts, and you will be assisting with all personal cares, supporting outings in the community and completing daily household tasks.
Experience in the healthcare setting is desirable but not essential as full training in the support needs of the client will be provided. However, a good attitude and a willingness to learn are essential attributes.
The successful person will also need to meet the following criteria:
Hold a full, clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car
Having a smartphone is preferred
Have a genuine willingness to support people
Hold personal qualities of empathy, respect, patience, resilience, honesty and confidence
Have excellent time management and organisation skills
Must be able to speak English clearly
