Due to the uncertainty of Covid19 Craigieburn Valley Ski Area is planning to operate as a members only ski area in 2020 (closed to the public).
We are looking for someone to join a team of 4 operational mountain staff to run the ski area only (no guest accommodation).
For this position we are keen for someone who has a strong mechanical background, working with diesel engines (E.g. Automotive workshop) or experience maintaining / repairing farm machinery.
It would also be a significant advantage if you had experience driving a grader or tractor (maintaining ski / farm roads).
You would also be responsible for assisting with all on mountain operations including ski patrol, lift operations (rope tows), snow safety, and customer service (with members).
Preferred skills / qualifications:
- Qualified mechanic (diesel engines)
- Grader Driver
- Ski Patrol qualification
- NZ or Canadian Avalanche level 1
- Explosives certificate
- First aid certificate
5 - 6 days per week: early July - early Oct 2020. Good remuneration and on mountain accommodation, food and skiing included.
You must currently be in New Zealand and be entitled to work here.
