Are you our next Chef Educator?
Location: Christchurch based
We are looking for a young at heart Chef Educator who has a passion for cooking and baking and loves hands-on teaching and training.
Our ideal candidate will have real industry experience as a qualified chef and hold teaching or training qualifications, as well as being a qualified assessor and/or moderator.
As a Chef Educator, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to a diverse range of students, from 8-year-olds to 80-year-olds. You will be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and have a strong interest in online education.
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and informative training sessions on cooking and baking
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
• Ensure all training materials are up to date and relevant
• Attend hospitality association meetings and events
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to continuously improve training programs
• Be open and adaptable to new training technologies and methodologies
Qualifications and Experience:
• A qualified chef with industry experience
• Teaching or training qualification
• Assessor and/or moderator qualification
• Experience in training a diverse range of students
• Experience in online education is desirable\
Skills and Attributes:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for cooking and baking
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Keen interest in new training technologies and methodologies
