Laugh.Observe.Learn ECE is a privately owned & operated, purpose built ECE Centre located in the CBD of Hastings, in the sunny Hawkes Bay.

We have a rare & exciting opportunity available in our Preschool Room for a ECE Registered Teacher to join our passionate Team of dedicated Teachers.

This position is for a 'Fixed Term' Maternity Leave Cover, which will commence January 2021 - until the end of August 2021. (There is potential for this position to lead to a permanent role of 3x days per week, at the end of the fixed term).

We are looking for an experienced Teacher of the highest calibre.

To be successful in this role you will require:

*Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) or Graduate Diploma in ECE - (Level 7),
*Current / Full NZ Teacher Registration,
*Recent experience as a teaching professional & passionate about supporting various age groups,
*Demonstrate respectful care & education for children, with a sound knowledge of Te Whariki principles,
*Experience & an understanding of developmental milestones for various age groups,
*Proven Leadership Experience & Supportive Team Player,
*Excellent Communication Skills; Writing, Speaking & Listening,
*Confidence with Planning & Assessment,
*A calm, respectful approach with a motivated, positive attitude,
*NZ Residency or Current Work Visa

This position is for a full-time role (40hrs p/wk) - so you will need to be flexible to work rostered shifts between
7:30am-5:30pm, Monday - Friday. You will also be expected to attend fortnightly paid staff /planning meetings.
