Candidates must:

. hold an ECE teacher qualification valid in New Zealand along with full registration or a training teacher
· ability to teach children in a positive, inclusive, and nurturing way
· acknowledge and respect the language, heritage and culture of every child and their whanau
· demonstrate knowledge of curriculum and self-review
· be a good communicator working effectively in a team environment
· have strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and uphold our commitment to treaty-based practice
· be reliable and flexible to work a range of hours
· be proactive and have a good work ethic
· understand the internal evaluation process and be committed to driving centre-wide reviews
. can role-model respectful practices with tamariki and whanau, with genuine warmth, care and passion for children’s learning and development
. excellent and effective communication skills
. experienced in extending learning outcomes for nga tamariki and confident in incorporating Te Whariki through documentation processes
