Te Puke Gymsport is a not for profit gymsports and parkour club based in Te Puke in the Bay of Plenty. Our club delivers gymnastics (recreational and competitive), preschool gym, tumbling, trampoline, parkour and ninja warrior programmes to 650 members per year.
We are seeking a Gym for All (GFA) Head Coach to join our team. The Gym for All Head Coach will be responsible for the planning and leadership for our recreational and preschool gymnastics programmes and events. The role will be permanent part-time with a minimum of 20 hours per week (with a potential for more hours as the programme is growing), depending on applicant there is also an opportunity to coach lower STEP/level competitive gymnasts. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate coach that will manage our GFA programmes and coaching staff. The Club is in the process of developing a substantial new gymsport building so we are looking for the Head Coach to be a key part of our team.
Core competencies you will require for this role include:
• A Gymnastics coaching qualification
• Excellent communication and coaching skills and experience in coaching and relating to young people.
• Ability to manage, lead and develop the other recreational coaches.
• Appropriate level of medical and physical fitness for carrying out the required work
• Ability to promote recreational and preschool gymnastics to the community to grow a successful programme
• Ability to build, promote and manage the club recreation and preschool events.
