Arai Te Uru Kokiri Training Centre (Kokiri) provides a kaupapa Maori pathway for vocational success. Kokiri is committed to equipping people with the skills they need to gain quality employment or further education, and to make positive progress in their own lives.
We are looking for committed, innovative and energetic tutors who have expertise in Mahika kai practices. In particular we are looking for tutors with experience in and a passion for the sustainable gathering and use of food through growing, collecting, hunting and fishing.
We have various opportunities available for tutors in Central Otago, South Otago and Dunedin.
Tutors must have excellent health and safety practices and an understanding of the regulations that apply to this work. Experience working in kaupapa Maori education settings is an advantage. Tutors will be well supported by the Kokiri team.
This is a perfect job for someone who has a passion for living off the land and a strong desire to pass on their knowledge and skills.
