The ARC Palliative Care Nurse will provide facilitation, coaching and mentoring, using a partnership model, working with staff in Aged Residential Care facilities across the region as a leader of an innovative project.
The main goal of the project is to support the integration of quality palliative care into the care of all residents and their families / whanau who would benefit, by promoting the development of knowledge, skills, competence and capacity of staff in ARC facilities. In this way we aim to help meet the increasing need in this care context for quality palliative care for residents, their families /whanau
Working in partnership with staff in aged residential care and general practitioners, this role will be key as part of a wider team in enhancing the goal of quality palliative care for all.
