The Stroke Foundation of NZ with the support of Ryman Healthcare's annual charity grant are launching an exciting new year-round free blood pressure check service. This service will operate from a brand-new custom-fitted mobile vehicle that will travel across the country offering free blood pressure checks and related health information to tens of thousands of kiwis. The new service will be operating across the Southern, Central, Midland and Northern regions from October 2018 to June 2019.
The Foundation is seeking expressions of interest from people interested in being employed as one of two heath promoters to operate the blood pressure checks van, one of which will have a senior role. The Foundation is interested in hearing from people who could be available to cover one or more of the individual regions.
Experience in providing health information on lifestyle issues is an advantage and the Health Promoters will need to be confident drivers of a large van as well as able to be away from home for extended periods.
