Turuki is currently recruiting for a Kainga Navigator to join their team. This role provides support to individuals and whanau to excel at living their life, even — or especially — if they have chronic medical condition/s or have vulnerable tamariki in their care.
You will help whanau with a broad variety health and wellbeing issues, such as weight loss, stress reduction, the management of chronic conditions, improving diet and exercise, house maintenance, addiction, and adjusting to a life-altering health event, like a heart attack. This role has a strong focus on tenancy.
Ideally you will have:
Experience in supporting whanau to achieve their aspirations and realize their potential.
Have strong written and verbal communication.
Have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a co-ordination / facilitator role or coaching role
Experience working directly with clients and their whanau
The ability to build and maintain high quality relationships across Turuki and your team
A full driver’s license as this is a community-based role
