Wesley Te Kakano/Family Start programme
We have a vacancy for a mature, experienced, and highly self-motivated achiever. This is an opportunity to work at the leading edge of whanau work with an organisation that supports nurtures and values you too. This position requires you to promote Family Start and the building and maintenance of networking relationships with the objective of generating referrals to the programme. Key to this is supporting whanau to understand the programme and its benefits and supporting them to engage with the programme. You will role model outstanding practice and hold a small caseload of whanau to whom you will provide intensive social work and parenting education support and be key to influencing behaviour change and lifestyle choices that contribute to positive outcomes for children.
Key attributes are the following:
Qualified and Registered Social worker
Experience of working alongside children and whanau
Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary environment
Ideally experience in family harm, alcohol and drug, early child education
Outstanding relationship, time management, administrative skills
Full driver's licence
Confident computer and literacy and communication skills
A mature and supportive approach to staff and whanau
