About Auckland Bridge programme
The Salvation Army has provided alcohol and other drug support to the people of Aotearoa New Zealand for over 100 years.
The Auckland Bridge programme is run from three locations in Mt Eden, Waitakere, and East Tamaki and delivers residential and day programme treatment options for clients.
Our programme combines the 'community reinforcement approach' with 'spirituality' and the '12 step fellowship'.
About the role
Our Auckland Bridge programme is looking is looking for three Residential Support Workers (RSW) to be available on call to cover casual shifts across our three Auckland residential sites.
This sole charge role involves supporting our clients and supervising the facility at night.
Person specification
The successful candidate will have the following:
A level 4 certificate qualification in Mental Health, Addictions or equivalent in related field (or nearly completed in this qualification)
Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Have a willingness to work from a bicultural perspective with an awareness of the Treaty of Waitangi
Great communication and customer service skills
Good computer and administration skills
Confident in driving an automatic minivan with up to 11 clients.
Empathy with the values and mission of The Salvation Army
