Role Description

We have an existing WordPress backed website, achangeforbetter.com, that will be handed over to us by the initial WordPress web development team in October 2020.

What we are looking for with this role is for someone with good experience (3 years plus) in WordPress to take on continuing development of items for our platform and administration of the site.

We are aiming to launch the product into other markets internationally so will need to be expanding our points of presence to ensure we maintain the same great level of performance we can achieve currently in New Zealand. We want someone who can help us achieve this.

We expect the successful candidate to possess many of the skills or experience of an intermediate level web developer as per the attached skills matrix.

We have a number of new features and modules we need developed for the site and need to be able to work with someone who can take on board our vision for the features and work on the development required to make them happen. We aim to white label the product and will need someone who can turn the existing platform into a package that can be on-sold.

We anticipate this being a 3 month contract but with a view to extend this contract or make a permanent role within the company for someone who fits all our requirements, delivers well on what we ask and wants to continue with us. We want to ensure both parties are satisfied with the working arrangement before a more permanent role is developed.

There may be a requirement so assist us with technical questions when we do pitches for this product to various entities and this may mean being available at specific times on a video conference call.

Not a requirement but would be very useful for you to show us previous work you have done on existing sites and explain your level of involvement and what you achieved.

Hours of Work

The role is expected to be a full time role (40 hours per week) during the duration of this contract although we are open to a part time role for the right person.

Location of Work

Location of work will vary depending on the work being undertaken. While most of the work can be done from home, expect to work 2-3 days a week in our home office in Lynfield, Auckland.

Remuneration

The pay range for this role will be aligned with the level of experience of any candidate and will be in line with industry standards for this type of role.

Duration

This will be a contract role with A Change for Better Limited for a term of 3 months with possibility for a renewal of contract or conversion to an employment contract at the end of this initial period.
