Due to commercial demand they are seeking a SOC Engineer for their Palmerston North Office to provide operational support of internal and external security services platforms that meets agreed service levels of all customers, contribute to operational effectiveness and best practice, and to meet or exceed all business and customer expectations.

This is a position that provides high levels of customer support and project work to internal and external customers giving sound advice on technical security issues and advises in accordance with best practices and SOC team procedures. Also, key to this role is Service Delivery in providing day to day support in IT operational environment, relating to internal, security and hosting services. You will need to have well developed verbal and written communication skills, a proven ability to prioritise, ability to complete and maintain documentation and procedures, collaborative, friendly and team orientated.

To be successful in this position you will need...

1+ years of relevant security experience and some of the following qualifications and certifications:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, Business, Management, Information Technology, or related field

Security Certifications e.g. CISSP, CISM, CCSP, CSIH, CEH, OSCP

IT Certifications e.g. A+/N+/S+/Cloud+, MCSE, ITIL, VMware
