Pace Telecom is determined to provide customers with high-end ICT solutions. Our UFB team has been operating successfully in Survey, Build and Connect space all across Canterbury.
You must have experience in the following tasks:
Survey, Design, Build and Connect UFB Network.
Build, lay and joint telecommunication structured cabling and Hybrid network cabling.
Fibre cabling and Fusion splicing in commercial and domestic properties (FTH project).
Install, terminate and test of fibre optics throughout the underground and surface networks.
Examine network drawings and specifications to determine positions of equipment to be installed.
Configuration of modems, wireless modems, routers, computers and other devices for customers.
Installation and optimization of network infrastructure.
Network configuration including WAN and Wireless Networks.
Ensure compatibility of all devices and configure network resources accordingly.
Power meter (JDSU) testing using power meter and probe.
Install, programme and configure of SLID and ATA on the Optical Network Terminal (ONT).
Identify, Locate and rectify faults in Fibre Optical Network
Qualifications:
Qualification in IT or Telecommunications
Relevant experience of over 1-2 years in preferred in performing the above duties
Chorus Work Type Competencies 1 & 3
Valid First Aid training
Valid STMS training
Other requirements:
Ability to travel when required, be willing to work 6 days a week and occasional overtime.
Ability to work over the weekends (if required)
Ability to work individually or as a part of a team
Strong commitment to Quality, Health & Safety
Clear traffic history / No traffic offences
Full driving license
