We are looking for Class 2 Driver to operate our Greenwaste collection truck.

Who are you? You are a professional driver with an interest in a driving position, and you recognize that there is more to being a professional than simply holding onto the steering wheel.
You enjoy early morning starts, hold a current Class 2 License and have experience driving in suburban areas.
You are honest, trustworthy, willing to learn (training provided), and able to work individually as well as part of a team. You must not be afraid to get out of the vehicle and do some physical work. Holding on to the steering wheel is only one part of this role.

The Role:

Driving throughout the Auckland region collecting from private household clients.

Skills & Experience:

Valid Class 2 Drivers License.
Previous Rearload Driver experience preferred but not essential.
Previous waste or recycling experience preferred but not essential.
Previous Kerbside collection experience preferred but not essential, training can be provided.
Current Kerbside Collection Traffic Leaders (KCTL) Certification preferred, but company will provide if required.
Strong customer service focus.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Comply with all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and managers to ensure schedules are completed efficiently.
Minimum 2 years’ experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
Good working knowledge of the greater Auckland area.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
Ability to bring people together to work as a team.
Ability to work with the Auckland Operations Manager and other senior staff to review and develop company policies and procedures. *Ability to learn and utilize company computer systems.
Reliable transport

Key Duties:

Physically fit due to the fast pace and capable moving loaded 240lt bins and 600l garden bags
Driving a Class 2 trucks throughout Auckland
Collecting garden waste from private household clients (both Wheelie Bins and Garden Bags)

The successful applicant wont be afraid to get out from behind the steering wheel, as driving is only one component of what you will actually do.
