We are a small bathroom renovation company based in Ellerslie and we are looking for a keen fit individual who is interested in entering the building industry.

As a bathroom renovator it’s a little bit different than working for a traditional building company. The work that we do crosses over into lots of different trades; carpentry, tiling, glazing, plastering, painting, etc.
Initially this will be a skilled labour type position and a carpentry apprenticeship will be offered to the right person.
Our work is typically dry inside work and your daily tasks will consist of:
Setting up flooring protection
Demolition and taking trailer containing rubbish to the dump.
Cutting lists of timber for tradesman Installing framing timber.
Assisting with installing wall and ceiling linings
Assisting tradesman with plastering, painting, glazing, etc
Collecting materials from merchants
Cleaning and organising work area, material trailer and vehicles.
The successful applicant must have:
A good level of and fitness (a lot of the work we do is very physical).
Tidy appearance.
Motivation to learn on the job.
Restricted or Full NZ driver’s license.
A reliable vehicle to get to and from work.
An understanding of woodworking / carpentry (at least at a high school level).
The following would be preferable but not essential -
Experience in the trade or in a trade store (Placemakers, Bunnings, Mitre10, etc).
Being located close to Ellerslie.
Hours will generally be: 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
