CREW MANAGER - ROTORUA
Due to high demand for our services Inta-Wood Forestry Ltd currently has a vacancy in our business for a experienced Forestry Establishment and Silviculture Crew Manager based in Rotorua.
Duties include -
Running of a crew undertaking forestry planting and pruning as well as other non-saw operations.
Pick up/drop off of staff.
Being responsible for crew work vehicle, tools and equipment required for daily task.
Managing all aspects of day to day health and safety.
Managing daily production and quality of crew's work by industry standard QC plotting (training will be provided).
Suitable applicants must have the following qualifications -
Must have a minimum of 3 years forestry experience in pruning and planting operations. Chemical releasing knowledge would also be an advantage.
Appropriate forestry unit standards for tasks being performed.
Current first aid certificate preferred.
Full NZ drivers licence.
Quad bike/ATV NZQA unit certificate an advantage.
High standard of written and verbal communications.
We are seeking an experienced, reliable and drug free Crew Manager who wishes to be part of a professional forestry contracting operation.
Our clients have high expectations around the Health and Safety of people working within their forests, and are requiring honest, high quality work to best improve the standard of their forests.
