Baxter Engineering Ltd is an engineering firm based in the Canterbury, Wellington and Palmerston North region. We primarily work onsite providing maintenance services on industrial equipment and heavy machinery.
An opportunity currently exists for a permanent Fitter Welder to join our Wellington team.
The hours of work are 8:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday and Sunday and 6:00pm to 2:00am Monday to Wednesday. Please note we require some flexibility with hours due to the nature of the industry. Regular overtime available.
The nature of the work is mostly heavy fitting and fabrication on site and in the workshop.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and experience:
Trade qualified
Have proven fitting and welding skills and experience
Punctual and reliable
Honest and hard working
Available to work overtime when required
Able to work well autonomously and in a team
Have high commitment to health and safety of themselves and others
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
