Balcrom is a manufacturer of high-quality engineered precast and prestressed concrete products out of our two factories in Balclutha and Cromwell.
We are seeking three Precast Concrete Workers to join our team and be a part of a busy production environment in our Balclutha factory.
Hours are 40 per week although sometimes there are reasonable requests for overtime where a deadline is to be met. We are offering a pay range of $27.75-$30 per hour dependent on experience.
Being part of our team means that you will be key to the company reaching its goal of being the preferred supplier to the South Island for Precast Concrete and Reinforcing Steel products and support the company's approach to customers, growth and staff.
You must have a strong focus on Health and Safety in the workplace.
Tasks include:
Cutting and shaping of reinforcing, assisting to set up molds, install reinforcement and set up structural steel components into the panels.
Filling moulds with concrete and ensure an even cover and ability to operate vibrators to settle the concrete into molds.
Cleaning and polishing the beds, formwork and surrounding works areas.
For this roles, you will ideally have:
Previous experience in precast manufacturing Evidence of similar production experience and a history of reliability, teamwork, enthusiasm and hard work is also valued
Have a good work ethic and take pride in your work
Able to follow instructions
