Description

Pay rate: Minimum $25/hour
Maximum $35/hour
Guaranteed hours of work per week: Minimum 40 hours Maximum 50 hours

What you need

Valid work references
Full-time availability, Mondays to Saturdays, may work during weekends
No criminal record
Applicants should have an NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
2 or more years’ experience in the scaffold industry; OR a minimum certificate at NZQF Level 3 or higher qualification (or in the process of gaining formal qualifications i.e., apprenticeship with Skills); OR overseas qualification equivalent to NZQF Level 4 or higher (as indicated by SARNZ RCC conversion table).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confidence and good attention to detail.
The people skills to work effectively with company personnel and customers where required, and to always promote excellent customer relationships.
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
A full driver’s license (Class 2 License ideally).
Valid Site Safe Passport.
Valid Working at Heights license.

About the Role As a Ticketed/Experienced Scaffolder, you will be undertaking the normal scaffolding practices and services for Glenbrook Farming & Equipment Hire Ltd

Calculating scaffold loadings and establishing an appropriate scaffolding platform to build
Checking worksites for possible hazards, identify and log/record them if necessary
Delivering scaffold to the site
Unloading of scaffolds from the trucks
Laying wooden or steel boards (sole plates/boards) on the ground to spread the weight of the scaffolding
Checking levels/heights in scaffolding structures and maintaining the state of the scaffolding equipment
Erecting all scaffolding as instructed for its intended use
Fitting steel tubes and support braces together to form the scaffolding framework
Fasten ladders and guard rails to scaffolding, including toe boards
Dismantling the scaffolding and loading on to trucks
Delivering scaffolding back to the yard or to the next site
Regularly inspecting scaffolding for the safety of the structure
You will need to work safely under Glenbrook Farming & Equipment Hire Ltd and Worksafe Safety Standards. To communicate well and effectively within a team environment and be able to work independently. You must be extremely reliable, honest, punctual, and most of all have a positive attitude.
