Due to our current shepherd moving on to a stock managers role we are seeking applications for a shepherds role to start mid August. The Doone is 3500ha mainly hill country running 8500 stock units comprising of Angus cattle, 4000 ewes and a Romney Stud - Doughboy Romney.
The successful applicant will have:
* Minimum of 2 years experience
* 3-4 dogs under good command
* Honest
* Ability to work alone or within a team
* Excellent communication skills to feedback effectively to the manager.
* Desire to have a successful career in agriculture
* Good sense of humor
* Good work ethic and pride in their job
