NORTHLAND VEGETATION CONTROL - JOB VACANCY

We are looking for someone to join our current team at Northland Vegetation Control based in Hikurangi, Whangarei.
This is a permanent job - offering at least 30-but up to 50 hours per week.

We have two main types of work within the company – Spraying weeds and planting trees. Currently (October) we are full swing into our spraying.

Generally, from September through to April we spray weeds for many different companies and clients and then the other 4 months of the year we plant trees – mainly riparian plants, natives and poplar poles. The ideal candidate will have some sort of interest and experience in weed control however if you feel you are a fast learner and are genuinely interested to learn in this industry please apply.

This role will involve forest restoration work and maintaining public spaces around Whangarei so an interest in this area would be an advantage. You will be working in the public eye at times.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with the ability to run one of our gun spraying trucks once appropriately trained – you would be working in a crew of 2 all over Northland and because this is a very autonomous role you need to be able to show initiative, good time management skills and professional communication skills. You need to be comfortable with numbers (chemical calculations) and have legible handwriting.
