WAREHOUSE PICK & PACKING STAFF - AVONDALE
Our client, a reputable food distribution company that services restaurants, hotels, cafes and caterers with fresh, frozen and dry products is currently seeking applicants for their busy warehouse currently based in Penrose but soon to relocate to Avondale.
They currently require Pickers & Packers to join their Day Shift team 6am to 3pm including potential for rostered alternate Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Correctly and accurately pack daily orders
Maintain correct stock rotation to avoid dated stock.
Pack and load orders into holding chiller in run order for easy loading onto trucks.
Assist with deliveries as required
Ensure all product is maintained at the correct temperature in accordance with the Food
Safety Program
Assist as relief driver for delivery of product (part of the day shift position)
In addition successful candidates should:
Be physically fit with a willingness to work and be a team player
Have exceptional personal hygiene
Be capable of some heavy lifting
Have an understanding of numbers
Have great communication skills including a good understanding of the English language
Be able to follow Food Safety procedures & instructions
Be able to work Saturdays
Experience with food handling and working under a Food Safety Programme with some computer skills would be an advantage although training will be provided.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid long term NZ work visa.
