We have a full time permanent position available for a pipe welding assistant/digger operator/labourer.
RIX Civil is a small, growing family run business with work across the wider Western Bay of Plenty. We are seeking somebody who is motivated, fit and enthusiastic, has a sense of humour and is keen to learn a wide array of new skills in the exciting and booming industry of civil construction.
The successful applicant will be primarily working as a PE pipe welding assistant where they will be assisting an experienced PE welder by labouring and operating machines. The role also provides opportunities for working and learning in other areas of civil construction such as water main installation, drainage, water remedial work, pressure testing, machine operating and sub-division prep work.
RIX Civil will provide on-site training and should the employee show potential/interest; we will provide relevant training to support them to become a qualified PE pipe welder.
This role is perfect for a young person or somebody who is keen to learn a new set of skills. A WTR license and machine operating experience is preferred but not essential as licencing and training can be provided.
A driver’s licence and own transport is essential.
