If you are from the Taupo/Rotorua areas, you may have seen a new development happening on Broadlands Rd in Reporoa. Ecogas/Pioneer Energy are building a facility which will process residential and commercial food waste into gas and fertiliser. The gas will be used in the national grid and the fertiliser will be spread on farms.
Note: As one of the owners of Ecogas, Pioneer Energy will be leading the recruitment process
The role
The operation of this facility will require skilled Loader Drivers to monitor delivery of food waste and manoeuvre the waste around the facility in order for it to be processed.
We have quite a few consents and contracts to adhere to, so successful Loadmasters will need to be able to follow quality and compliance processes and complete daily and weekly tasks to make sure the facility runs smoothly. Another important part of the role is inducting truck drivers to site and visually inspecting the waste to make sure they haven’t dropped off anything that isn’t food.
Essential skills/experience:
Loader operating experience
Class 1 Drivers license and Wheels, Tracks and Rollers endorsements
Minimum three years secondary education
Must be physically fit and able to lift 20kg unassisted
