Systems and Inventory Specialist

About the Role:
Join our dynamic team in a newly created role designed to streamline our inventory processes and elevate our operational efficiencies. As our Systems and Inventory Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our current systems, as well as implementing novel strategies to maximize production efficiency, improve inventory accuracy, and hone our procurement forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering, storage, receiving, and distribution processes for our products and supplies. Ensure an optimal flow of supplies and equipment, and maintain a keen eye for tracking inventory.
System Implementation & Enhancement: Work closely with our current inventory systems while identifying and implementing new systems to boost production efficiency, inventory precision, and procurement predictions.
Loss Mitigation: Develop and enforce protocols for potential loss scenarios such as theft, fire, or other unforeseen events. Promptly identify discrepancies or losses and ensure actionable measures are in place for prevention.
Inventory Analysis: Regularly balance and count raw materials and finished products. Use inventory systems to monitor production, wastage, output, and re-ordering.
Collaboration: Liaise with Logistics, Production, Administration teams, and store management to address any inventory issues. This includes supervising all inventory tasks such as cycle counting, product slotting, stock consolidation, and replenishments.
Staff Training: Equip store staff with the right tools and knowledge on stocking procedures, product dating methods.
Order Management: Oversee the placement of inventory restock orders, ensuring timely procurement and addressing any challenges with product shipments.

Requirements & Skills:

Prior experience as an Inventory Specialist or in a similar capacity.
Ability to develop and optimize inventory processes and strategies.
Proficiency in monitoring inventory costs and processing orders using various software tools.
Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities paired with a process-driven mindset.
Stellar organizational and time-management skills.
Strong literacy, numerical, and analytical prowess.
Profound software and computer literacy, especially in inventory management systems.
