OBJECTIVE OF POSITION To effect the overall smooth and efficient operation of the business.To maximise sales volumes and profitability.

Must have at least 2 years barista skills and cocktail making experience an advantage plus worked previously in a Duty Manager on-license role for over 2years.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with the Sale of Liquor Act 2012 and amendments, Smoke Free Environments Amendment Act 2003
Ensure all staff are aware of their obligations pursuant to the Sale of Liquor Act 2012 and the company’s liquor licence is not jeopardised—this includes patron conduct and intoxication
Greet customers warmly
Serve customers promptly in a friendly manner
Ensure there is always an adequate supply of clean glassware
Ensure the customer areas are tidy at all times and are displayed in accordance with the establishments standards
Ensure all funds and proceeds belonging to the business are accounted for, secured and locked in the safe before leaving the premises
Ensure the security alarm is activated and functioning before leaving the premises
Ensure the premises is a safe environment for all patrons and staff, and complies with OSH requirements at all times
Participate as a constructive member of the management team with the view to maximising business sales volumes and profitability
Complete other general duties as the Owner may require from time to time

Some shifts involve soul charge and opening or closing of the premises. 25 to 35 hours per week.

Shifts are:
Mon: off
Tue: off
Wed: 8.45am - 2pm | 5.30pm - 9.30pm
Thurs: 11.30am - 8ish
Fri : 8.45am - 2pm
Sat : 9.45am - 3pm / 7pm - CL (Night off when no function)
Sun : 9.45am - 3pm
Other odd days and nights when required for functions, hour may change to suit.

Would need to apply for a Duty Managers License, if it has expired
