Description

Agfirst Nelson is a leading horticultural consultancy serving clients locally, nationally & internationally. We are predominantly based around the pipfruit and kiwifruit industry and pride ourselves on being able to provide the right information and management solutions to our clients.

Reporting to the Management Accountant, this is a busy role and pivotal to the smooth running of the organisation.

You must have:

Strong accounts administration experience using Xero or similar accounting software. Qualification preferred but not essential.
Financial reporting skills and experience with PAYE, GST, FBT and IR filing
Reconciliation experience
A good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation preferred but not essential
Intermediate/advanced level in data management using Excel
Above average Word, Access and Office 365 skills
Experience with WorkflowMax preferred by not essential
Strong multitasking and communication skills
Accuracy and keen attention to detail
Confidence in updating office systems


This role can have a degree of pressure at times, and you will need to be able to cope in a calm and efficient manner. You will be working alongside one other administrator in providing support to our consultancy team.

To be successful you will need to be very well organised, highly efficient, a self-starter with strong initiative and a down to earth attitude, and be a great team player. Whilst we offer this position as a permanent full time role, we are also prepared to accommodate a 30 hour week (school hours) for the right person.
