At Akaroa Salmon we operate two sea-pen salmon production farms in Lucas and Titoki Bays, which are located within the confines of Akaroa Harbour.
We have been operating for over 35 years and are a well-established and respected salmon producer. We operate a processing facility in Christchurch and from there our fresh chilled salmon are distributed through-out NZ and around the world.
Due to continued growth we are on the look out for great talent to join our great farm team! This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves the outdoors, is passionate about fish farming, working in an awesome supportive team, and is looking to grow their aquaculture career in our beautiful farming location.
This is a full time permanent position and applicants must be either NZ residents or hold a current working visa. The position hours are Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, 7am to 4pm daily. Salmon farming activities include:
Feeding
Harvesting
Grading
ROV net cleaning
Net mending
Technical monitoring duties
Skipper/Deck hand duties
