Ship Cafe is on the lookout for a Chef/Baker to take ownership of our cabinet food preparation and Kitchen food presentation. We have a wide range of sweet and savoury baked goods, salads and sandwiches.We are looking for an energetic and experienced Baker/chef to join us at Orewa, Auckland.
You will be responsible for:
Plan daily menus and specials for sale
Prepare and cook food
Knows how to bake pie, quiches & muffins etc..
Order food supplies for cafe
Monitor all food cost and control expenses
Ensure food quality and presentation is of the highest level
Liaise with manager and other staff to ensure food quality and service is to the appropriate standard.
Train staff on correct cooking procedures for various food types
Deal with any customer complaints to ensure customer satisfaction.
You must have at least two years’ experience in a similar role.
