We are currently looking to expand our team and seek an honest, reliable, punctual, and hardworking Charge Baker and Experienced Baker to join our team.

Good Honest Products is an established wholesale artisan bakery with a reputation for outstanding products and service. We are proud of our reputation and as a preferred supplier to the best café and hospitality operators in wider Christchurch. Our products also reach the length and breadth of New Zealand through our food service distribution partners.

Our reputation is no mistake. Finalists again for the 6th year in a row in the outstanding supplier category of the Canterbury Hospitality Awards.

Charge Baker – minimum requirements:

Level 4 or 5 baking or equivalent qualification.
Previous people leadership experience in a bakery environment.
Excellent communication skills.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes.

Experienced Baker – minimum requirements:

Minimum of three years’ experience.
Be able to prepare and bake quality breads.
Champion OHS and Food Safety practices to ensure a safe work environment for customers, staff and contractors.
Train, develop and supervise apprentices in the bakery.
Previous experience and demonstrated knowledge in the making of doughs, pastries, batters and mixes.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexible hours.
The ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes
The ability to lift up to 20kgs, bend, reach and complete repetitive movements.

Our customer base is growing every day and they demand consistency so you must be able to bake “The Good Honest Way”. We ask all our staff to be multi-taskers and we train you in various shifts of our 24/7 business.

These roles will be predominantly afternoon/evening shifts and are part of a rotational roster, including some weekend work.
