CURIOSCAPE - CURIO BAY
CHEF POSITION
Tumu Toka Curioscape Visitor Centre combines an 80-seat café, campground reception, camping ground, souvenir shop, and the interactive Gateway interpretation area, where we tell the stories of our wildlife, the importance of the Maori Connection, and the natural history of Curio Bay/Tumu Toka. The local community is proud of what has been achieved, and bring their families and friends to Tumu Toku Curioscape. It has also become an educational destination for school and community groups.
Located at Curio Bay, this popular area in the Catlins is one hour from Invercargill – This is a very special place, home to Yellow Eyed Penguins, Hectors Dolphins, and an internationally significant Petrified Forest and Living Forest.
We would love to hear from you, if you are keen to join our team. You don't need to have a full understanding of the area as we can teach you, but a few other things are important to us. This includes having pride in your appearance, and the service you deliver. Operating a well equipped kitchen, we would require someone to have the ability to multi task and adapt through the busy times.
Some experience is required in operating a kitchen in a café/restaurant. Maintaining our Food Control Plan, developing menus, and keeping within a budget.
Regular time off with a roster of 5 days on and 2 days off .
