Mar & Tierra is an exciting South American Fusion restaurant. Opened in December 2018 in the recently refurbished Auckland Fish Market, with our custom-made wood-burning grill, we’re bringing surf ‘n’ turf with Latin swagger to NZ!
We are excited to be opening a new outpost in Titirangi Village and have a number of roles available.
We have a part-time commis chef role available to join our small and passionate team. Hours will initially be part-time shift work, with a possibility to pick up extra hours when required. The hours will be discussed at the interview.
Initial training will be at our Wynyard Quarter address, with future shifts split across both the Titirangi and Wynyard Quarter restaurants. We are open Mon-Sun.
We ask that you have the following:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a chef role
• The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for food
The following would be advantageous, but not essential:
• Knowledge of South American cuisine
• Experience of cooking on a wood-burning grill
• Food hygiene training
Our ideal candidate will be motivated, reliable, have high standards, and good communication skills.
