The role: GIVE OUR CUSTOMERS AND INDOOR ARENA VISITORS A GREAT EXPERIENCE:
Working at the new purpose-built Naenae Bowling Club, we want a people lover with organisational skills to assist with the smooth-running of our Club. We run events, ranging from birthdays, workshops, AGMs, training sessions, to customised packages that include catering or a social game of bowls on the indoor arena.
The role requires an experienced hospitality multi-tasker for our bar, gaming and events during your shift.
The shifts will generally be sole charge in the early week evenings, but you will also be part of the wider team providing cover during busier times.
Some weekend work is required. Our membership is increasing which provides further opportunities as our customer base continues to build.
YOU MUST BE:
• Customer-focused – every shift you will meet people from all walks for life with all different needs.
• Organised – especially around licensing and gaming obligations
• Comfortable working opening and closing shifts, including float preparation and administrative tasks.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a sole charge capacity when required
• Have great cash-handling skills
• A multi-tasker -- you will be pulled in different directions
• Able to prioritise and make sound decisions
• Full of energy and conversation
• Fit to move tables and chairs to suit the layout requirements of each function.
• Confident with computer programmes – you will be required use email and our online booking system
• A holder of a Manager’s Certificate or able to hold one. We can provide training.
