Freshpork NZ is passionate about producing quality New Zealand pork products. We have been delivering 100% New Zealand pork to Kiwis for over 25 years and are the country’s leading pork specialist. From modest beginnings in the early nineties, our family owned business now has a nationwide presence with over 180 staff across six sites.
Our Timaru abattoir facility, Freshpork Bay City, is New Zealand’s largest pork abattoir. We are looking for two experienced Boners to join our Boning Room team of 12 people. The highly skilled team work at pace and know their trade.
As part of the Boning crew you will be preparing meat for further processing, specialty cuts of pork for market and hot boning as required.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have highly competent knife handling skills (pork experience not essential)
Be able to work cohesively in the team
A high regard for the safety and wellbeing of yourself and your team
Be flexible to respond to production requirements
Need physical stamina and strength due to the physicality of the job.
Starting around 6:00am, you’ll work 5 days a week. The team covers Monday to Friday.
