Bonjour! We are looking for an experienced chef de partie to join the team at our French eatery, L'Atelier du Fromage (Maison Vauron) based in Newmarket. We are a café-style business, with a French deli and wine cellar.
This is a full-time role.
We need an experienced and well-organised person to aid our Head Chef.
The successful applicant will be:
- Competent in all aspects of food prep, cooking, kitchen and culinary functions and duties
- Clean, tidy and organised within the kitchen
- Passionate about food and cooking
- Able to work comfortably in a high- pressure / busy environment as part of a team
- At least 1-2 years experience in a similar setting
- Excellent communication in English is required. The ability to speak French is advantageous, but not a necessity
- Knowledge of French culture and cuisine is advantageous also.
This position is full time with 5 shifts between Monday to Saturday with some evening work.
We are closed on Sundays and you will have 1 other day off during the week.
You must have the right to live and work in New-Zealand
