Yi Pin Xiang Shanghai Restaurant in Auckland is looking for an experienced chef specialising in Chinese cuisine.
The main tasks include the following:
Awareness of Chinese cooking trends to plan menus and suggest changes to menus
Estimate food and labour costs to achieve profit margins
Monitor qualify of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Liaise with management and other staff to discuss preparation and issues with preparation.
Demonstrate full knowledge of Chinese cuisine, flavours and cooking techniques.
Prepare and cook dishes based on appropriate techniques and procedures.
Explain, monitor, observe, and enforce hygiene rules and regulations
Help to select and train staff.
Based on the above, applicants should have:
Qualification and/or experience relevant to Chinese cheffing (preference is for an Occupational Qualification Certificate Forth Level or higher).
Work experience (at least 3 years) as a chef specialising in Chinese cuisine.
Ability to execute current menu dishes in your speciality.
