RARE HEAD CHEF OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for dedicated Head Chef to manage our stunning Man O’ War Bay Restaurant and Events Centre kitchens. A role like this rarely comes up, this is a chance for the right candidate to showcase their own personal brand by way of directing the food offering.

About the role:
Managing two departments -
Our Pavilion Restaurant dishes up lunches to our cellar door visitors. Sour dough Pizza are a beloved stable accompanied by the promotion of seasonal ingredient from our Orchard and Garden.
Our Events pavilion hosts large functions and weddings as well as boasting Man O’ War events to show case our love of wine and food.
Motivate a team of passionate and highly skilled individuals
Experience in writing and costing menus and ordering food supplies
Manage food and labour costs
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Ensuring food safety and the food control plan is implemented and followed
Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
Experience in hiring, training and managing staff, including performance reviews
Work a long side our gardeners to produce and develop menu ideas from orchard to table

About you:
Experience in a similar role
Experience leading and managing a large kitchen team in performance and to cost
Sound and proven oral and written communication skills
Ability to work under pressure in a fast passed environment
Familiarity with a range of cooking styles
Driver’s licence

Flexibility, as a busy, fast paced operation that can open 7 days a week, variety across shift patterns and hours of work can vary.
