Saz Kebab is a café and dine-in restaurant in Morrinsville and is looking for a passionate full-time dynamic individual to manage the restaurant. You will control and be responsible for the day to day operations of the restaurant. You must ensure service is of a high standard, staff are engaged efficiently and customers' satisfaction is met with high-quality delicious food. Most importantly, your willingness to succeed and stand out will greatly improve morale and continue to make Saz Kebab a successful business.

Your responsibilities as a Restaurant Manager will include:
Planning and designing menus, estimating labour and cost of food items in consultation with chefs for day-to-day operations, special events and as required by customers
Being responsible for ordering, purchasing and storekeeping of all stock whilst also
ensuring the quality of ingredients is fresh and of high quality
Being responsible for coordinating large group bookings and special events
Ensuring general grooming and presentation standards of all staff
Conducting daily examination of the quality of food offered to customers and ensure
optimal customer satisfaction
Ensuring the restaurant and operations are compliant with occupational health and
safety regulations.
Identifying recruitment needs in the restaurant and recruit staff
Delegating staff through assigning tasks and duties
Ensuring all staff perform to a satisfactory standard and train underperforming/new
staff
Maintaining awareness of customer taste, understanding forthcoming customer
initiatives and monitor what local competitors are doing
Greet customers with warmth and personable manner

Ideally, you as the candidate will have:

Hospitality experience of 1-year minimum, preferably in a management role
A high standard of customer service skills
Dedicated to motivate, mentor and retain staff
Possess excellent leadership and team player qualities
Exceptional time management skills
Flexibility to work all days of the week including public holidays
Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
