The Woodstock Hotel is a 150 year old country hotel on the outskirts of Hokitika catering to our locals and travelers just passing through. Two years ago we started our own craft brewery on site creating both craft beers and ciders which we either bottle or sell on tap through our bar at our multiple sites. We are a destination for locals and travelers alike to come and have dine, enjoy a craft beer and just generally socialise and soak up the atmosphere of this historic hotel.

If you have drive and passion for hospitality and looking after customers then we have a role for you. We have an opening for a Duty Manager and are looking for someone to take this role and make it your own with creative input, charisma and energy. This is a pivotal role for the business and as such, this specific role will be ideally suited to someone who:-
*has minimum of 5 years FOH experience with experience in both high volume and quiet venues
*has the ability to strike up a conversation with people from all walks of life
*is innovative, detail focused and has a great sense of humor
*has reasonable beverage knowledge
*ideally has experience at a Supervisory or Manager level - training teams, rostering and stock control
*has a relevant Managers Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012;
*is confident and capable
*has a great attitude and is a motivated team player

We are also looking for part time and full time roles to assist with our daytime cafe operation.
The people required for this role will have
*a minimum 1 year barista experience
*food handling experience - as you will need to help prepare and serve cabinet food and simple meals
*touchscreen till experience
