We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified Sous Chef to help take our thriving operation to the next level.
This position is very hands on and the right person will be self driven, enjoy challenges, possess motivation in both a team and service environment and be committed with the desire to play a significant role in the Awapuni Function Centre’s success.
Reporting to the Executive/Head Chef you will work together to ensure the successful and efficient day-to-day operations of our kitchen and will be confident and experienced in leading a team when required in the absence of the head chef.
EXPERIENCE
• 3 years’ experience as a Chef including at least 1 year in supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Menu design & the understanding of current food trends
• Experience and knowledge of current food safety standards
• Experience in high quality & volume food service
KEY SKILLS
• Good Organisational Skills
• Good management skills
• The ability to organise and balance multiple demands
• Well presented and possess a hard working attitude
• Excellent communications skills in relation to staff & customers
• Full manual drivers licence
