We are excited to employ an experienced Business Development Manager – Retail, Waikato region to pave the way for further success. This is truly an opportunity for you to make the role your own and also develop a showroom that is not only a retail operation, but also offers design advice and a full service solution for our residential and commercial clients.
We service our clients with high end quality furniture so we have the perfect solution to suit any home or commercial place. We utilise our design expertise and exclusive product range to be able to offer our clients the best products and service.

About you
Strong sales and business development skills goes without saying. You are an influencer who can build business by developing relationships of real value to clients. You’ll share a deep passion for furniture and home décor whilst working in a collaborative, innovative, and fast-paced environment. We are challenging some societal and traditional ways of thinking!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Developing, planning and executing business development strategies to increase brand awareness, revenue and market share
Building strong relationships and increasing the value with our new and existing client base.
Promoting new furniture designs, home decor ranges and services by issuing samples, catalogues and quotes to clients.
Create computer based tools, spread sheets and presentations for both internal and external use.
Assist with and plan new marketing initiatives.
Building excellence in customer relationship management and satisfaction.
Cold calling, networking, and lead generation by researching and qualifying leads to uncover and recommend new business opportunities.
Visiting and servicing our client base.
Providing feedback to management on the potential of new product lines.
Delivering on set business revenue targets
Be available to.travel in allocated regions when required

Specific skills and experience that will assist with this role are:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2+ years of previous sales / business development experience in a relevant industry is a must
Knowledge of timbers, fabrics and leathers is preferred
Strong administration, multitasking, and decision-making ability
Internet and PC proficiency with advanced MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
Willingness and ability to travel (when required)
Experience with CRM’s (we use Microsoft Dynamics)
Full clean driving license
Ability to pass random Drug and Alcohol Test
Clear Ministry of Justice record/check
