Garden Centre - Nursery and Retail Person (Full-time)

Applicants should be enthusiastic, fit and energetic with a keen interest in Plants and Gardens. Excellent Customer Service skills are necessary as serving the general public and selling of product is a major job function. A "Can Do" attitude is required to undertake daily duties such as stocking shelves, plant maintenance, unloading of trucks, pricing and labelling, taking customer orders, setting up plant displays and general housekeeping duties such as watering and sweeping.

We would expect that successful applicant would be available to work at least one weekend day.

Garden Centre - Utility person (Full-time)

We are looking to expand our team. This position covers a range duties inside and outside so if you’re looking for something that is challenging this could be for you. We are looking for someone that can help keep our grounds tidy, help load things into customers cars and assist with unloading trucks/containers when they arrive. Having a drivers license and/or forklift license would be an advantage.

We would expect that successful applicant would be available to work one weekend day per week.

Must be reliable, punctual and well presented

Must be fit and healthy - some heavy lifting required

Able to work in all weather conditions, this is predominately outdoor work and while we do what we can to keep you out of the worst of the weather we cannot dictate when trucks/containers arrive.

Adaptable there may be times when you are required to swap or do extra shifts

Willingness to learn and use initiative

Restock items onto the shop floor

Forklift license preferred but not essential

NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
